Since insertion we managed to conduct outreach program to five wards of Temeke Municipality, in Dar es salaam. The program based to identify life condition to children with disabilities and vulnerable children, area visited were Vijibweni, Kigamboni, Tungi, Mjimwema and Somangira wards. children with disabilities were identified and further projects are planned to helping their needs. To implement our mission, LTO is critically consider efforts to assemble the targeted group, specifically to implement projects which will involve community members to participate in understanding and adressing needs of the world of other small groups which are not much considered as important to the society. CURRENTS PROJECTS Project Name- S&I 2015 project- means Sign Language and Inclusive Society 2015. project Scope Dar ES Salaam project Nature- Workshops Project participants-Higher Learning Institutions, Ministry of Infrastructures, ministry of Health, Ministry of Education and vocational training, representative from schools, companies and financial institutions. Project Goal To promote conducive environment for people with hearing impairment to participate in communication and other important social economical aspects in the society. General Objective To advocate the practice of sign language for the betterment of people with Hearing Impairment and other counterpart. .Specific Objectives Ø To what extent is sign language important as a mode of conversation Ø To expose strategies for building inclusive society Ø To change negative altitude of the community towards deaf people. Ø To expose strategies for developing deaf children. Ø To expose importance of involving deaf people in the community. Ø To explain about rights for receiving information among people with hearing impairment. Ø To provide guidance and canceling to the local community on how to consider people with hearing impairment as a productive part of the community. Ø To increase involvement of people with hearing impairment in employment opportunities, education and other societal matters. summary Through this project the organization wants to spread sign language philosophy and inclusive society for the benefits of all groups of people including people with hearing Impairment and other without hearing problems. Involvement of deaf people and others in the project will enhance direct and indirect influences to the whole community. The organization wants to implement the project in the city of Dar Es Salaam with the involvement of different stakeholders to participate in this inclusivity movement. However, the Organization does not have enough funds to carry out its work and attain its intended goals.
