Fundraising Officer – Job Description

 

 

Motivation community is a Community Based Organization (CBO), working to promote justice, eradicate poverty through education of entrepreneurial skills and advocate on children, youth and women. We are currently searching for voluntarily competent and enthusiastic individual who is able promote the organization objectives and to raise fund to underpin and sustain our long-term strategic plan.

 

 KeyResponsibilitiesofRole

 

Developing and implementing community fundraising strategy

  • Help us develop exciting new creative community fundraising strategies through developing resources, working on publicity strategies and more.
  • Work with the Events co-coordinator to develop successful fundraising events, including receptions for major and minor donors.
  • Recruit new supporters and advocates, who represent MOTIVATION COMMUNITY on a local level.
  • Develop attractive resources to accompany our “MOTIVATION COMMUNITY-a-thon” strategy, supporting MC members in fundraising.

 

Establishing additional sources of funding

  • Work with trustees to develop strategy for recruiting major donors
  • Working with the office manager to research potential funding opportunities and make detailed applications to trust funds and potential donors
  • Establish clear systems and to ensure regular applications are made

 

Donor Relationships

  • Manage relationships with existing donors, including regular ones.
  • Ensure up-to date and accurate records are kept of donations, and are easily accessible. u

 

Other responsibilities

  • Explore new and alternative source of funding.
  • To manage the program undertaken by the Oganization

 

Details

  • §  This can be done as a part time job or fulltime depending on the fundraisers timetable, 
  • §  The post is for 6 months, with renewal dependent on initial fundraising success.
  • §  Salary is dependable on his or her success
  • §  Our normal working day is from Monday to Friday 8.00am – 5.30pm  
  • §  Start date: 1/4/2014 interview will be held on 28/3/2014
  • §  Holidays: free
