RUKWA LEGAL AID ORGANIZATION (RLAO) is the Non-Governmental Organization that provide, facilitates, share and expand the legal services; and recognizes the facts that poverty, technicalities of the law, delay in the administration of justice, illiteracy and unequal distribution of legal services are the factors that deny people access to equal justice in Tanzania and Rukwa region in particular. It was registered in 2009 under the Non Governmental Organization Act.

 VISION

The vision of the Rukwa Legal Aid Organization is a strong and vibrant legal aid contribution across the legal profession as part of an accessible legal system that serves the needs of socially and/or economically disadvantaged people.

 MISSION

Rukwa Legal Aid Organization using the law as an instrument for social change seeks to provide Legal Advice and Counselling, Legal Documents Drafting, Court Representation, Legal Education Advocacy, Public Interest Litigations; and Paralegal Training for indigents, vulnerable and marginalized individuals.
