1.0. Our Mission:

To network Age-care Organization working  for older  people and Organizations of older people  and work together  with central and Local government Authorities(LGAs),Non-Governmental organizations(National and International) promoting and defending the rights and needs of older people, and other parties of common interest to ensure that older people live in peace and dignity.

2.0.   Our Vision:

A Tanzania society in which older people lead a dignified,health secure, and  improved quality of life.

 

3.0.  Objectives:

   3.1.    Lobbying and advocay  for older people`s rights and needs in the society/Nation.

   3.2.    To create awareness among Central and Local Government Authority leader,executives

             and other stakeholders  on major older people ageing issues and the need to

             mainstream them into their development agendas and thereafter intergrate them into

             plans and budgats.

    3.3.    To research , collect data and stockpile in  formation for dissemination  to member

             age - care organizations.

    3.4.    To provide consultancy services and training to member age-care organizations.

    3.5.    To formulate intergrated programmes for the benefit of older people and seek funds

              for their implementation, by member age-care organizations.

    3.6.    To solicit grants-in-aids from donor agencies for the support of vulnerable older

              people`s  livelihood needs.

4.0.  Strategies:

    4.1.    To promote cordial working relationships among Age-care organizations and other

              national and international organizations of common interest.

    4.2.    To support implementation capacity of the age care membe r organizations.

    4.3.    To facilitate sharing of information and knowledge.

    4.4.    To plan for fund-raisingschemes.

5.0.  Guiding principles:

TOP is govrned by a series of guiding principals to which  all its member organizations must athere to.These principals serve as a guide to TOP members and its Board and Secretariat when carying  out network activities relating to influencing policy development at national level.TOP membership is open to non-profit making organizations working for older people and of older people.

6.0.  Membership rights:

    6.1.    To participate fully  at appropriate  Network meetings

    6.2.    To access Network facilities and relevant documents.

    6.3.    To be nominated, appointed, or elected to network organs leadership position

              wherethey are qualified.
