TASMOYODET has planned to address the project concerning formation of new constitution and education system in Tanzania. The project will address the problem of gap between the rich people in getting higher education and children of peasants fail to get education. We need to address this through forums that will include university students, parents, guardians and other development partners to come with different ideas on what they want to appear in the coming new constitution about education to childrens and sons of peasants who are totally failed to pay school fees, therefore failing to get higher education and creating huge gaps. In this country the sons and children of peasants will not survive if the system of education will not be changed.

TASMOYODET invitates development partners, organizations, institutions, and individuals to support us morally and financially in implementing this project.

 

BOOM NA UJASILIAMALI is a project designed to impart the knowledge of entrepreneurship skills to Youth particularly UNIVERSITY STUDENTS. This project will be carried out on Dec.2011 in Dar Es Salaam for two days respectively.

 

 

ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND

Tanzania Single Mothers and Youth Development Trust (TASMOYODET) is a non-political, non-religious, non-government organization established in 2010 and formerly registered on 16^th, May, 2011 under the Society Ordinance registration Number 17497 for the aim of improving and capacitating the lives of young women and men through conducting training and seminars based on leadership, entrepreneurship, business development and promoting self-realization for youth. TASMOYODET office is allocated at Mabibo along Mandela Road in Kinondoni District-Dar Es Salaam.

 

PROBLEM DECRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

Dar Es Salaam city is the strategic city in Tanzania due to the present of some government institutions and private institutions as a result there is high mobility of population from different directions to Dar Es Salaam. Even though youth population is dominant in this city, there are no enough jobs to absorb them and there is very high unemployment. As a result a lot of youths are roaming around without any work. Even though there are some few young people who are engaging in business but they are not doing it scientifically. Another problem associated with it, even the loans inserted as finance capital for business start-up do not reach youth due to bank criteria for loans that youth cannot meet. Thus it essential to act as soon as possible to reverse the deteriorating situation of the youth at least to sustenance of our generation. If these youth are mobilized in organized manner, they can really bring about great change in their lives and in the society. They could also contribute to attainment of our development agenda that we are hoping to attain.

 

PROJECT JUSTIFICATION

Recognizing the problem described above, TASMOYODET do present the proposal project titled “Business Start-Up, Proposal Writing and Project Management Training for women and men” that will be done at LAND MARK HOTEL on 07^th-09^th, June, 2012. This training aims to assemble one thousand (1000) young people at LAND MARK HOTEL on scheduled dates for the aim of training them entrepreneurial skills and enabling youngsters to having more knowledge in business analysis and management, marketing, business administration and coordination, business proposal writing, as well as sharing experience and innovative ideas amongst the youth. The training will stimulate an entrepreneurial culture amongst youth for engaging them in capacity building and confidence building exercises in order to successfully move them from having an idea in their minds to having the confidence to actually set-up enterprise and consider entrepreneurship as a viable career choice.

 

PROJECT OBJECTIVE

The overall Objective

• To create an enabling environment for the youth so that they can be self-dependent and contribute to job creations of other youths and be an active participant in development effort of the nation as well as becoming responsible citizens and parents.

Specific Objectives

• To inculcate entrepreneurial skills in the youth to make youth self-employed and initiate the youth to be engaged in productive activities.
• To promote a positive image of entrepreneurship amongst the young people.
• To demonstrate the potential of entrepreneurship as source of sef-employment, job creation for others and contribute to national economic growth.
• Empower youth to be responsible citizens and parents.
