About the Founder

Dickson Kaseva
Dickson began His Career as a Secondary School Teacher in 2003. In his teaching he experienced some behavioural issues among students which were affecting their academic, career, personal and social development. He realized the need of having advanced skills to rescue the situation. He for that reason went for further studies. Before entering the teaching field, Dickson had attended Teacher Training and had earned a Diploma and thereafter a Degree in Counselling. He has more than ten years experience in teaching and counselling as well as in being an excellent employee at various levels. In 2009, admiring to be more useful in the community, he turned to Non-government Organizations from teaching and started
working as a psycho-social care and a support officer and later a child protection officer, a counsellor and program coordinators in different organizations. Dickson has participated in different courses, training and seminars related to child protection, HIV/AIDS, counselling and income generating activities. He has also conducted number of trainings in relation to child protection, counselling, psychosocial care and support to local government authority's workers, teachers, community counsellors, children, youth and parents. He also participated in preparing for counselling guidelines and tools; and he has researched in the area of children’s behaviour and parenting. Dickson has also conducted number of counselling services to children, youth and adults. Dickson is Founders and the Managing Director of Arusha Counsultation Centre. He in 2015 quitted his job to live what was/is in him.  His dream and goal is to use his skills and education to positively influence people in the community to take charge of their own lives as well as using available but unutilized resources wisely to deal with their challenges. Dickson dares to care.
