Milipuko mikubwa ya mabomu iliyotokea inchini Tanzania katika ghala kuu la kutunzia silaha la jeshi la wananchi wa Tanzania [JWTZ] Gongo la mboto jijini Dar es salaam imesababisha uharibifu mkubwa wa mazingira.

Milipuko hiyo iliyotokea tarehe 16/02/2011 majira ya saa mbili usiku imesababisha taharuki kubwa na hofu  miongoni mwa wakazi wa jiji la dar es salaam na pia kusababisha watu na wanyama kukimbia huku na huko kujinusuru maisha yao.

Hali kadhalika milipuko hiyo mikubwa imesababisha uharibifu wa mazingira, ikiwa ni pamoja na kupoteza uoto wake wa asili yake, kufuatia moto uliounguza majani. Mabomu yalikata miti na baadhi ya maeneo kutifuliwa, na pia nyumba kuteketea kwa moto.

Uchafuzi wa  mazingira uliosanabishwa na milipuko hiyo, umeathiri mno hali ya hewa na kuichafua kwa kuifanya  kuwa nzito,  kutokana na kuchanganyika na moshi mkali. Vilevile wananchi wanahisi kuwa hewa wanayovuta imechanganyika na sumu,  kwa kile walichokisema kuwa asilimia kubwa ya wahanga miongoni mwao, wanakohoa kwa kipindi kirefu, tangu kutokeee kwa tukio hilo.

Watu ishirini na mbili [22] wamepoteza maisha yao   na wapatao mai tatu[300]kujeruhiwa sehemu mbalimbali za miili yao ,na wengine kupata vilema vya kudumu, kama vile kukosa mikono au miguu, na pia kupoteza sehemu nyingine za miili yao.

Viumbe vingine ni pamoja na wanyama, wadudu na ndege waliopoteza uhai wao katika milipuko hiyo.

kwa mawazo yangu, nadhani kuwa kwa athari zilizo jitokeza katika milipuko hiyo, hapana budi kwa nchi ya Tanzania kutafuta ufumbizi wa haraka, ili kunusuru uharibifu mkubwa wa mazingira utakaoendelea kujitokeza kama mmomonyoko wa udongo, ukosefu wa hewa safi na uchafuzi wa mazingira, ili kulinda afya za jamii na kuboresha maeneo ambayo kabla ya milipuko, yaliyokuwa yakitumika kwa kilimo cha mboga mboga.
