ABOUT OUR PROJECTS

CHIPS-CF [Child Protection and Survival in Commercial Farms] anticipates and provides for specific pilot projects which could establish the basic for a more vigorous national programme of action.The plan is to mount pilot project in each of high concentrations of orphans and vulnerable children [OVC] in commercial farm in TANZANIA.

CHIPS-CF ensures that OVC shall not be abused and that the children are given proper opportunities and facilities to develop in a healthy manner and in a condion of freedom and dignity and that child and youth are protected against exploitaitation and against moral and material abandonment. Thus the problem of OVC welfare in commercial farms in TANZANIA requires a considerable attention from social scientists, activists on the field, and the goverment. CHIPS-CF realizes and accepts the truth that protection of children against violation of OVC right is essential to their mental and physical development and in the ultimate analysis to the development of a nation as a whole.

Therefore CHIPS-CF projects encompass dimensions that aim at:-

-Physical and mental development of OVC in commercial farms, their proctection against violation of childs rights through formal and non-formal education;

-The prohibition of child labour in work which is hazardous to their health and well-being;

-The improvement of conditions under which children work [where such work is non-hazardous and not banned by law] protection of such children from exploitation, and acces to improved nutrition and maximum levels of education, health protection and skills development.
-A more systematic way for tracking and research to a wider public and assess the flow of finances for basic services, the availability of teachers, health staffs, councillors, volunteers and other critical inputs especially books, drugs and medical supplies, clothes and accomodation.
-Provision of non-formal education:most of the OVC in commercial farms in TANZANIA are either drop outs from schools or have never been to school at all. Under the project, non-formal education will be made available to these children. An essential purpose of non- formal education wiil be to impact literacy skills of primary education level in order that these children may be able to benefit from other sources of knowledge and information in their later life.

PLANNING TASKS:
The relationship between orphanhood and and poverty mirrors the association between poverty and HIV/AIDS prevalency in commercial farms. Orphanhood is more prevalent in commercial farms which also have higher population densities of migrant labourers.
Poverty reduction strategy will reduce the incidence of child labour and improvements in overall employment and conditions and thus supporting efforts at improving, promoting and protecting the welfare of children in commercial farms.

Orphanage and vulnerability deprives OVC of educatinal opportunities, minimizes their chances for vocational training, hampers their intellectual development and by forcing them into the army of unskilled labourers, condems them to low wages and hard labour all their lives. Our purpose is to lift orphas and vulnerable is to lift orphans and vulnerable children between the age of 5-17 years out of their difficult circumstances and find way of assuring them a more secure future in the society.Being a social, cultural and economic problem prevention and control of violation of child rights in commercial farms will very much depend on effective community based preventions, care and support interventions.

The project will adequately address the problems of OVC in commercial farms, the local people and communities will actively participate in the development and implementation of our projects. Stakeholders including project beneficiaries are true partiners in the development of the project.

The internal dimension centres on learning how local communities can manage their resources; that is planning and goal setting , resource mobilization, resource management, conflict resolution etc. The central focus is always capacity to effectively work as a group, foster democratic process in developing efforts through consensus, conflict management and networking.

Human resources-teachers, health staffs, councillors and volunters and their skills, knowledge and experience.

Material resources- premises, office furnitures,computers, printers, cameras,vehicles,drugs and medical supplies, books, sports, and games supplies, stationaries, radio and Television sets, overhead projector.

Finances- cash or equivalent.

Sources-CHIPS-CF members, all children lovers and well wishers,volunteer sponsors and donors.

KUHUSU MIRADI YETU

Chips-CF [Kulinda Watoto na Survival katika Commercial Farms] anticipates na hutoa kwa ajili ya miradi ya majaribio maalum ambayo inaweza kuanzisha ya msingi kwa ajili ya mpango wa zaidi kraftfulla ya taifa ya mpango action.The ni mlima wa mradi wa majaribio katika kila moja ya viwango vya juu ya watoto yatima na watoto walio katika mazingira magumu [OVC] katika mashamba ya biashara nchini Tanzania.

Chips-CF kuhakikisha kwamba OVC wala kudhalilishwa na kwamba watoto wanapewa fursa sawa na vifaa vya kuendeleza katika hali ya afya na katika condion ya uhuru na hadhi na kuwa mtoto na vijana ni salama dhidi ya exploitaitation na juu ya kutelekeza maadili na vifaa. Hivi tatizo la OVC ustawi katika mashamba ya biashara katika Tanzania inahitaji tahadhari kubwa kutoka wanasayansi ya jamii, wanaharakati juu ya shamba, na serikali. Chips-CF anatambua na kukubali ukweli kwamba ulinzi wa watoto dhidi ya ukiukwaji wa haki OVC ni muhimu kwa maendeleo yao kiakili na kimwili na katika uchambuzi wa mwisho kwa maendeleo ya taifa kwa ujumla.

Basi chips-CF miradi imewazunguka vipimo kwamba lengo la: -

-Kimwili na akili ya maendeleo ya OVC katika mashamba ya biashara, proctection yao dhidi ya ukiukwaji wa haki za Childs kwa njia ya elimu rasmi na isiyo rasmi;

-Katazo la ajira kwa watoto katika kazi ambayo ni madhara kwa afya zao na maisha;

-The uboreshaji wa hali ya chini ambao wana kazi [ambapo kazi vile ni zisizo na madhara na si marufuku na sheria] ya ulinzi wa watoto vile kutoka unyonyaji, na acces na lishe bora na ya kiwango cha juu cha elimu, ulinzi wa afya na maendeleo ya ujuzi.
-A njia zaidi utaratibu wa kufuatilia na utafiti kwa umma mpana na tathmini ya mtiririko wa fedha kwa ajili ya huduma za msingi, upatikanaji wa walimu, wafanyakazi wa afya, madiwani, kujitolea na pembejeo nyingine muhimu hasa vitabu, madawa na vifaa tiba, nguo na malazi.
-Utoaji wa elimu isiyo rasmi, zaidi ya OVC katika mashamba ya biashara katika Tanzania ama wanaoacha kutoka shule au hawajawahi kwenda shule wakati wote. Chini ya mradi, elimu isiyo rasmi, zitatolewa kwa watoto hawa. Kusudi la muhimu ya wiil elimu isiyo rasmi kuwa na athari ujuzi elimu ya ngazi ya elimu ya msingi ili watoto hawa wanaweza kunufaika na vyanzo vingine vya maarifa na habari katika maisha yao ya baadaye.

MIPANGO kazi:
Uhusiano kati ya vioo orphanhood na na umaskini wa chama kati ya umaskini na VVU / UKIMWI prevalency katika mashamba ya biashara. Orphanhood ni umeenea zaidi katika mashamba ya biashara ambayo pia kuwa na idadi kubwa ya msongamano wa wafanyakazi wa kigeni.
Kupunguza umaskini kupunguza matukio ya ajira ya watoto katika ajira na maendeleo kwa ujumla na masharti na hivyo kusaidia jitihada katika kuboresha, kuendeleza na kulinda maslahi ya watoto katika mashamba ya biashara.

Watoto yatima na mazingira magumu deprives OVC wa fursa educatinal, itapunguza nafasi zao kwa ajili ya mafunzo ya ufundi, unaathiri maendeleo yao kitaaluma na kwa kulazimisha yao ndani ya jeshi la wafanyakazi wahudumu, condems wao mishahara ya chini na kazi ngumu maisha yao yote. Lengo letu ni kuinua orphas na mazingira magumu ni kuinua yatima na watoto walio katika mazingira magumu kati ya umri wa miaka 5-17 nje ya hali zao ngumu na kutafuta njia ya assuring yao ya baadaye salama zaidi katika society.Being tatizo la kijamii, kiutamaduni na kiuchumi kinga na udhibiti wa ukiukwaji wa haki za watoto katika mashamba ya biashara itakuwa sana wanategemea jamii preventions ufanisi msingi, huduma na hatua msaada.

Mradi vya kutosha kushughulikia matatizo ya OVC katika mashamba ya biashara, watu wa mitaa na jamii itakuwa kushiriki kikamilifu katika maendeleo na utekelezaji wa miradi yetu. Wadau ikiwa ni pamoja na walengwa wa mradi ni partiners kweli katika maendeleo ya mradi.

Mwelekeo wa ndani vituo vya juu ya kujifunza jinsi ya jamii inaweza kusimamia rasilimali zao, ili ni mipango na lengo la kuweka, rasilimali ya uhamasishaji, usimamizi wa rasilimali, utatuzi wa migogoro nk Lengo kuu ni daima uwezo wa kazi kwa ufanisi kama kundi, kuendeleza mchakato wa kidemokrasia katika kuendeleza jitihada za kwa njia ya makubaliano, usimamizi wa migogoro na mitandao.

Matumizi ya Ardhi MPANGO
Chips-CF kuwa na mipango ya kuimarisha jitihada za jamii na familia na huduma kwa ajili ya OVC katika miradi ya jamii na shughuli za kuhakikisha kuwa watoto ni kulishwa, housed na mavazi.

Lengo ni kujenga uwezo wa OVC kwa msaada wenyewe.
