TO THE PRESIDENT
QUAD CITIES REFUGEES OUTREACH PROGRAM
ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS, USA
RE: A WORD OF APPRECIATION AND A REQUEST FOR PERTNERSHIP
I have the honor to submit a proposal that you may consider to partner with TALISDA FOUNDATION to cross the boarders and extend your Refugee Outreach Program so that you may reach Africa, particularly, in Tanzania where we also have needy Refugees who might benefit from your services that you render gearing to improve well being of the refugee communities in the Planet –Earth.
This proposal emanates from the fact that during my current visit to USA, I, Adolph Joseph (Executive Director for Talisda Foundation based in Tanzania) have a chance to interact with your leadership team and from the bottom of my heart I would like to express a word of appreciation by saying that your Organization is busy implementing a commendable outreach Program for the betterment of refugees who live in Rock Island, Illinois in the United States of America.
As I talked to some refugees they pin pointed out vivid examples of a kind of benefits that they have already acquired through your assistance. Furthermore, News Papers around Illinois dated 4th May, 5th May and 6th May 2011 revealed impressive information and articles regarding your Program interventions. I noted that USA government Officials and other like minded people have expressed their interests and that they are apparently ready to support you as you strive to realize your organization’s set goal.
With the above mentioned observations therefore, I would like to welcome you in Tanzania to PARTNER WITH TALISDA FOUNDATION for similar purposes of reaching needy refugees who are experiencing socio-economic hardships after they have been brought by Tanzania government to settle at Chogo area in Tanga region since 2003.
The proposed activities that we may need to partner include:
• Establishing Memorandum of understanding ( MOU) which will stipulate responsibilities that should be performed by each partner
• Implementing exchange visit schedules where by individual volunteers and staff members from either side may be having opportunity to pay exposure visits to Tanzania and or to USA to learn from each other
• Developing resources mobilization strategy so that we may find comprehensive ways on how to share the potential resources that are found in our respective areas of operation to enable the program to run in a sustainable manner.
• Soliciting opportunities and possibilities of transferring second hand materials including clothing, used vans, furniture etc from USA to Tanzania where such materials will be provided to the target beneficiaries in the refugee community in Tanzania.
We thank you in anticipation for your favorable consideration on this request.
Stay blessed and warm regards.
Adolph Joseph
