The Centre Director Sr.Julliana Mathias Kitela when she stood up so as to welcomed all seminar members to the seminar and opened a seven-days 14th-18th December,2020 training seminar on how to Eliminate the social Negative Attitudes for children with Cerebral Palsy and Physical Disability for 15 parents of children with Cerebral Palsy and Physical Disability.

The training covered three main Lessons which are:-

(i)Awareness about Disability.

(ii)Healthily Nutrition.

(iii)Rights for People with Disabilities.

Lesson One: Awareness about Disability.


The first lesson was about understanding disability and was presented by Mr.Stephano Ariyo Mwese who is a participant in C.E.P. The lesson included the types of disabilities, the causes of disability, how to address the challenges of disability and lastly it was to prevent the causes of disability.

The lesson was intended to enable parents of children with disabilities to identify at least the types of disabilities their children have and how to deal with their children for instance to support the health, education, and general well-being of children with disabilities.

 

Lesson Two: Healthy Nutrition.

The second lesson was about Healthy nutrition presented by Sr.Benardeta Beda. This Healthy nutrition lesson served the purpose of helping parents of children with Cerebral palsy and Physical disability understand how to serve their children healthy food for their health to support their growth.

Lesson Three: Rights for People with Disabilities.


This was the third lesson presented by Mwl.Kabeba c. Maiga.The lesson focused more on understanding the rights of people with disabilities in accordance with the legal guidelines dealing with and recognizing them as well as protecting the rights of people with disabilities legally.

The purpose of the lesson was also to empower parents of children with disabilities to value, protect and motivate their communities about the dignity of children with disabilities and to give them their rights as other normal children.

Here preparations for the trip are nearing completion so that this Centre car can accompany the seminar members to the Bweri bus station.

The Centre escorted seminar members to the bus station at Bweri through it's Centre car for boarding transport back to where they live. Peter Dotto(left hand-side) is one of the staff of St. Justin Centre who escorted seminar members and others around the Centre car are seminar members who were escorted.

Leah is a child who is at risk. She attends Nyarigamba 'A'Primary School from their home. St.justin Centre sees the importance of transfer Leah in the environment she is in and make arrangements by transferring Leah to St.Justin Centre for care when she grows up she will go to her school Nyarigamba 'A' Primary School.Right hand-side is Mr.Ariyo Stephano a stakeholder of C.E.P
