Muungano Development Association (MUDEA) is a non government organization which is registered under the NGOs Act of Tanzania with registration number 00 NGO/1642. The organization was established in 1994. It is governed by the Board of Directors which is accountable to the Annual General Meeting while the day to day activities are executed by the management team.

Vision: MUDEA envisions a Tanzanian society where citizens' rights are observed and people are exploring their full potential in determining their own destiny.

Mission: To promote right based programing with attention to HIV/AIDS, gender and environment through committed staff and members and recognizing the relevance of participatory approaches, accountability, transparency and the rule of law
