MICATZ offers the opportunity to work on meaningful projects in schools, orphanages, hospitals, health clinics, on different community projects and with government organizations. Participants live with a host family and undertake voluntary work placements in social work, conservation, health care, or teaching English to nurseries, primary and secondary schools to children ranging in ages from 0 – 15 years old. History of MICATZ
MICATZ is a not for profit organization which was formed in early 2007 and registered in Tanzania with the aim of making volunteering possible for everybody through affordable, safe, high quality projects in developing countries. Although we focus in particular on electives, placements are available to individual people, Retired people, and Gap Year students, undergraduate and graduate students at any stage of their course and to those wanting to broaden their experience after graduation.
MICATZ aims to provide volunteers with quality, flexible, safe and highly affordable volunteering placements in developing countries. In addition to providing aid and assistance to these countries.
Volunteering means being separated from opportunity and items that define and sustain your everyday life. It’s important to think about the things (other than friends and family) that you don’t want to live without and which you can’t take with you.
By focusing on healthcare, Education, Orphanage care, Teaching, HIV placements, we provide high quality program that are designed to specifically to meet the needs of our customers. We also enjoy strong partnerships with a large number of hospitals, clinics, government authorities and NGOs overseas, giving us the freedom to organize placements quickly and efficiently.

To promote health to marginalized groups whose social economic situation has been made vulnerable due to HIV & AIDS impact?
To conduct participatory research in target communities with a view to identifying Hidden social, economically problem and setting up appropriate strategies to meet identified needs in the areas of TB, General health education, HIV counseling, legal aid and life empowerment.
To work towards programs which empower individuals in the war against ignorance, Diseases, Poverty Eradication under Education bases and thereby contributes towards the county’s Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)
To improve African and Asian people cultural life by helping them in eradicating poverty via volunteer’s donations and physical participation to communities’ projects.
