Forest & Natural Vegetations

Mount Kilimanjaro has five major ecological zones which are controlled by four factors; (1) Altitude, (2) Rainfall, (3)Temperature, (4) Flora and Fauna. Bushland, made up of a combination of savanna, cropland, and human settlements
comes first. Second is tropical rain forest, third zone is rain forest gives way to the colder, drier heath, home to small plants and some trees. The forth is alpine
desert, which gets little rain, and were temperature vary widely in single day from extremely hot to very cold. Fifth and last comes the arctic zone, where most of the mountain's snow and ice is located and little plant or animal life
survives.
Your visit to these forests will enable to enjoy the real nature of Mt Kilimanjaro “The mountain of greatness” and those who opt to trek the whole mountain will get the benefits of observing all 5 ecological zones
