1st January of every year, Kitambinoma and other body exercise clubs conduct an annul bonanza in Zanzibar. This Bonanza actually is participated by people of different age and sex. Bonanza week will start on 24th December 2011 where competition on different local games such as marathon, sprint-100meters, tug of war, rope skeeping, net ball, hen-catching, eating the buns, etc . Bonanza will reach a climax on 1st January 2012 and on that day, peolle will start walking at Kisonge in the morning at 0600 and end up at Amani Stadium almost at 0800. Then follows the grande exercise which will be witnessed by Urbarn West Regional Commissioner, the Ministers, invited guests and Government Officials. The Guestt of Honour is expected to be the First Vice President of Zanzibar, Maalim Seif Sharif Hamadi.More than 1000 peole are expected to turn up. After receivng the procession and the report from ZABESA, the Gouest of Honour will deliver a speech.
