Taita Joggers of Dar es salaam invited Kitambinoma of Zanzibar for a Safe Walk in sympathy with the victims of the riote in ZAnzibar where shops were put on fire and public properties were vandalised. The walk started at National Stadium and end at Mnazimmoja Ground.At Mnazimmoja, the grand walk was received by Alhaj Iddi Kipingu, the sports veteran This took place on 24 June 2012.It was a very interesting event where Kitambinoma was presented by more than 30 participants headed by their chairman Mr.Suleiman M Rashid and the Secretary Madame Amina Talib.The walk was followed by body exercise performed jointly by different exercise clubs of Daressalam city. Chairman Suleiman was given minutes to say hello to the croud of sportsmen and women which he consumed efficiently.A fund raising activity was perfomed latter after the Guest of Honour gave his advise. Kitambinoma donated 10,000.00. A sheep used in the auction was handed over to Kitambinoma as a sign of the existing friendship and brotherly relation. More than 150,000.00 was raised in the fund raising aimed to support the victims.
About 34 members of Kitambinoma Exercise Club through the invitation of Bunge Sports visited the United Republic Of Tanzania Parliament on 6 February 2012. On 4 and 5 February, the two sports organisations had a joint exercise at Jamhuri Stadium, Dodoma. The physical exercise ocassion was officially opened by the Deputy Minister of Sports (URT) and was attended by more than thirty Members of Parliament including Madame Hawa Gassia. The club members had an opportunity also of visiting the University of Dodoma and Mnadani in Msalato, while they were in Dodoma. The purpose of this physical exercise trip was to sensitise the Members of Parliament on the importance of exercise to health. It is well known that MP execute their obligation most of time seated while attending the Bunge session, asituation denies them to loose the unwanted body fats. Through body exercise, it is believed that they will get that opportunity.
