There has been a setback in the reception of the broadcasting of the JEAN media's only communty radio existing in the Southern Mtwara region,when our antenna was pulled off the tower owned by our kind neighbours The Artmus Electricity company, who had to vacate original premises due to a sudden termination of their contract.

Meanwhile JEAN media intends to purchase from Miami Florida OMB,USA, a Mr PLATINUM LINK receiver for frequencies 175 MHz TO 470 MHz supplied in 20 MHz bands ,at the rate of $1,700.00. The equipment is extremely synthesized, LCD screen display for parameter selection and readings as frequency (6digits), RF level sub-carriers level,with mono stereo (MPX), AND 3 SCA audio outputs and remote control. This multi purpose device is expected to settle the attena problem, ensuring excellent reception of our broadcasts.

Currently , providing Irf cable to Radio Maria in Mtwara, Clouds FM radio in Mtwara having somewhat similar setbacks, in collaboration with Mtwara Communty radio, will diplex in their shelter and then radio Maria will diplex the signal of the two radio stations with Radio Maria, shelter.

In this case,clouds FM radio and Mtwara communty Radio will diplex between them with a stereo type combiner and then provide the output to radio maria.

with this setup Mtwara communty Radio will effectively be on air as JEAN media solicits funds for the radio link receiver mentioned earlier.
