My dear friend Wiki has this to say about alpha, beta and omega males:

In social animals, the alpha is the individual in the community whom the others follow. In most species, the alpha is given preference to be the first to eat and the first to mate. Other animals in the community are usually killed or ousted if they violate this rule. This leads to the alpha males and females being overrepresented in some groups in the genetics of a population, because they may become the only ones who breed successfully. In some cases, the hierarchy is extended to include two other roles: beta and omega. The beta (usually beta male) is the contender to the alpha position, and usually subordinate to the individual in it after passing a test. Betas act as the second in command and can overthrow the alpha or future alpha through reiterated challenges. Omega (usually rendered ω-male) is an antonym used to refer to the lowest caste of the hierarchical society. An omega is subordinated to both alpha and beta. The omega is commonly the last allowed to eat.

I give the simple Wikipedia definition only to have a launching point for my discussion on what is or who is an alpha male. Some of you will be very familiar with the concept having become lifers at Chez Roissy. Yet maybe you, like me, arrived ignorant of the concepts as related to male and female dynamics and have been trying to figure it all out. I share this post in order to not only stimulate discussion but to define what I think an alpha man is.

For some an alpha male can be defined simply as a man who has the most access to poon. (I don’t like the term; it’s just a familiar one so I’ll use it). He doesn’t necessarily choose the access it means he could have it if he wanted. Celebrities are said to be alphas because they can get prime poon any ole time they want due to their status in society. Others take it further and say alphas are all assholes. They are jerks who treat women like pieces of poo..n and will pump and dump rather than commit. They appear not to have any value system and are content to jump from bed to bed from now until eternity.

To me the term alpha male is synonymous with power and the wiki def backs that up. It means he’s a man who others notice. He doesn’t need to impress because he knows intuitively he is impressive already. He’s a leader whether formally or informally. Alpha as a term epitomizes power and position in a social context.

What alpha doesn’t describe is character*. Character and alphaness are separate entities. Character whether good, bad or indifferent will be present in alpha, beta and omega males. Alpha does not preclude having good character. Period. Some of you believe a good man and an alpha can’t be synonymous and I call bullcrap on that. I say alpha men are powerful, impressive and leaders yet can also be of good character. Men like this often have a strong moral code and a value system they aren’t willing to break emfor the P word. Sometimes it’s religious values that puts the breaks on P access and although they would enjoy the fruits of some 20 year old’s loins they won’t ‘pick it’ because of the sin involved. Others are simply honest; they took their commitments seriously and have honoured them. Perhaps some have been honest with their spouses and have had dalliances with their significant other’s understanding and full knowledge. (That’s a topic for another day)

I bring this up because some of you (maybe most) have identified as beta. You believe you have to ‘asshole’ it up in order to get the girls. Some of you are bitter because you can’t become that guy and you lose respect for women because you believe they want that guy. News is dudes you don’t have to be that guy! You can be a man of good character AND be an alpha man. Yep it’s true, course you still need to learn the skills of how to attract and then keep a hot girl. Roissy teaches these skill for free (how generous is he?).

Most importantly you need to cognitively grasp that the practice and time you put into game is not about manipulation it’s about evolutionary psychology. It’s survival of the fittest fellows and you have the brains for it. You’ve learned about what turns a woman’s crank, now gear up and crank it! Do what men do in the workplace every day and not feel guilty about – climb the ladder. You are climbing above other men who either don’t know about Game or are too confused to know what it is. Don’t hate women because that’s the way we’re wired become a damn electrician and figure us out.

We know there are natural alphas but as told in wiki, beta’s can rise up. Do this dudes- fight for your position amongst women. Do this with good character intact and you’ll be crowned, hopefully with the hot (also of good character) woman of your dreams.

For those of you PUA’s just wanting massive amounts of hot, juicy, wild sex – you came to the wrong post and you’ll have to make do with this.
