COMPLETED AND ON-GOING PROJECTS

1.  BANKING ON CHANGE PROJECT FUNDED BY Plan International in Tanzania

Since the year 2007 CODERT has been implementing a six year livelihood security project for poor and marginalized people in rural and urban areas, specifically widows and vulnerable youth. Under this self-sustained project, CODERT involves female headed households, orphans  in the Promotion of Crop marketing systems; Environmental campaigns; Advocacy on Child Rights, Improved Rural Housing Scheme, Food Security, Selection Planning and Management and Farm Enterprise Development.  The project is estimated to cost some $ 662, 000.00 by the end of June 2012; the project is funded by Plan International in Tanzania and currently is implemented in Nyamagana, Ilemela and Geita Districts in Mwanza region and Ifakara District in Morogoro region, Tanzania.

 2. AGRO-PASTORALISTS' LAND RIGHTS ADVOCACY PROJECT FUNDED BY CARE International in Tanzania

From 2009 to 2011, CODERT by funding from CARE International in Tanzania  has been implementing  a two year project focusing to promote and strengthen the LIVELIHOOD SECURITY OF PASTORALIST COMMUNITIES IN GEITA district, Tanzania. The value of the Project is: $ 45,670.00

3. VILLAGE SAVING AND LOAN ASSOCIATION PROJECT FUNDED BY Millicom International Cellular, Luxembourg German

Since 2009 todate CODERT Tanzania has been funded by Millicom International Cellular, Luxembourg to implement community based microfinance project in Dodoma urban district, Tanzania on one year contract basis. For year 2010/2010 the project funding  is worth $ 75,300.00

 4. GEITA VOTERS' EDUCATION INIATIVE PROJECT FUNDED BY UNDP & DELLOITE CONSULTING

From July to October, 2010, CODERT Tanzania was funded by UNDP & DELLOITE CONSULTING to implement a 4 month VOTER’S EDUCATION which focused on enhancing rural and first voters understanding of their right and responsibilities in relation to the electoral process in 33 wards of Geita, Tanzania. This project was worth $ 37,920.56

5.  USAID- RESEARCH TRIANGLE INSTITUTE –R.T.I

From January to April 2011, CODERT Tanzania was funded by USAID-RESEARCH TRIANGLE INSTITUTE –R.T.I to implement a 4 month MALARIA CONTROL PROGRAME which focused on creating awareness to the community Members on the campaign of spraying in-door mosquitoes those causes malaria Infection in Geita District. The project is worth $ 10,329.11.

 6. ESTABLISHMENT OF VILLAGE SAVING AND LENDING MODEL FOR POULTRY  FARMERS FUNDED BY RURAL LIVELIHOOD DEVELOPMENT COMPANY (RLDC)

From March to October, 2011 CODERT Tanzania was contracted by Rural Livelihood Development Company   to undertake the Training Assignment named ‘ESTABLISHMENT OF VILLAGE SAVING AND LENDING MODEL FOR CHICKEN PRODUCERS AT BAHI, MPWAPWA, SINGIDA AND IRAMBA DISTRICTS, Tanzania with a total value of $ 33,373.00.
