A total 38 MVCC were created in Ilala district with 380 members altogether. Amongst them 6.

Selection of volunteers

YAM in collaboration with local government leaders and MVCC managed to select 57 volunteers to support 2,500 MVC in the program. A selection criterion for volunteers has been developed and discussed hence adherence for those criteria was vital. These includes: Ability to reading and writing; respected personnel in the Mtaa, someone with no history of abuse or mistreating children and or disadvantaged group; a must to be accepted by children; a must be ready to play and work with children since this is not a full time job, the volunteer should not be somebody graduate just looking for the job, must be ready to volunteer for the children, must be ready to pay visit even in the difficult environment /household.
