The mission of Wofata is to reach out to women, youths and the community affected by HIV/AIDS in both rural and urban areas of Tanzania. For women, we will provide the education and support needed to build confidence, to stand up for their human rights and encourage a positive attitude towards life. In support of the new HIV/AIDS free generation, we will help in the prevention through education of local youths to have a resonating effect throughout the school system making HIV/AIDS education a part of everyday life. Partnerships with other local agencies will enable us to provide care and support for children affected by HIV/AIDS. For the community as a whole, we aim to significantly reduce the culturally engrained stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS.
