The CAN Associates have conducted consultative meetings in the different wards in Handeni District for its project TUNAWEZA last April 2012.  The aims were to get the support of the communities/stakeholders and to turn it over the project to them to ensure their ownership and sense of "we" feeling.  Thus, the sustainability of the TUNAWEZA project will be achieved through their collabarative efforts.

These consultative meetings were participated in by the different stakeholders that include local NGO representatives, ward/village leaders and officials from the Handeni District Council.

19 April 2012; Chanica Ward: with 50 participants, held at Anglican Meeting Hall, Kivisa, Handeni Town.
