Look After Them International (LATI) an NGO and Non profit organization that is dedicated in teaching, training and raising children an youth to become productive and fulfilled members of global society.
LATI was found in 2008 to provide much needed support to children living in poverty areas of Tanzania. While working in country, we have seen that education is vital to coping with everyday life and opens opportunities.
Because LATI believes that education can lift a person out of poverty, we focus on helping children access and stays in education system .There are many conditions affecting the ability of children in rural areas to attend school. Hunger, poor nutrition, lack of access to clean water, inadequate or unavailable schools, lack of dormitories, poor supplied schools. Our projects target these issues while remaining focus on the educational needs of children in rural areas.
We provide school uniforms, educational sponsorship, water wells to free children from the task of hauling water , building of classrooms , latrines , teacher’s houses , school feeding programs and all types of school supplies including desks, transfer blackboards, pens & pencils, exercise books, boxes of chalks, games & sports equipments and life skills training for out of school youths age 15-22.
Our mission in every project we undertake is to provide vulnerable children and youths with stability and access to shelter, food, vocational training and resources for their education.
